What is SUCCESS for those experiencing homelessness or addiction? with Jeremy and Ryan
Show Notes

A definition of the word "success" by Mariam Webster is a "favorable or desired outcome." So what is the favorable of desirable outcome for guests of Miracle Hill Ministries who are experiencing homelessness or addiction or both? Success is hard to define in the context of complex human beings.

In this episode, Jeremy and Ryan talk about the idea of success. Jeremy is the director of Miracle Hill's largest emergency shelter facility: Greenville Rescue Mission. We celebrate the stories of those who find healing and wholeness after walking out our doors. But how do we process the stories of individuals who walk out of our care and choose to continue in addiction or a homeless lifestyle? Or how do we think about the story of the person who relapses one time and dies from an overdose?

This episode is a conversation exploring the idea of success.

"I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work." 1 Corinthians 3:6-8
